Vancouveris remaining fourth in the rankings among 215 cities around the world in the Mercer "Worldwide Quality of Living Survey" 2009. Vancouver also was ranked No. 8 by London-based Monacle magazine on its list of best cities for quality of life in 2008.

Food & Wine magazine names Vancouver as one of the world's best "restaurant cities" at No. 10 among cities such as New York, Paris, London and No. 1 Tokyo.
